Classwork/Homework
Another Blood Drive Success!
Our September 15, 2011 Blood Drive was a success! We had 35 appointment slots available. We ended up registering 33 people and actually collecting 25 pints. This is our second-highest collection amount ever! We also continue to narrow the gap between registrations and collections—a great testimony to Kat’s iron-rich samples. Great job, everyone! Thank you for your life-saving donations!

World History Participation Point Questions
Here is your list of random questions that have come up in class. To get participation points (2pts. per question), e-mail me your answer (Crystalynn.Buda@twinriversusd.org) with a link to your source. Make sure that you are using a reputable (trustworthy) source. This means that you should NOT use wikipedia, wikianswers, chat rooms, geocities, etc. The best sources have ".gov", ".edu", or ".org" (depending on the organization) in their internet address. You should always look at what organization runs the website by looking at the internet address and/or clicking on an "about us / about this organization" link. Does the organization seem trustworthy? What is their purpose? What are their biases? Feel free to ask me for more tips on finding good sites. Happy hunting!

Blood Drive Beats School Record!
Our May 10 Blood Drive was a success! The school collected 27 life-saving pints-- the highest number of pints to date. Very few were turned away on account of iron and our new pass procedures made drive logistics run smoother. A big thanks to Artyom Razumovsky, the rest of the NHS Blood Drive Committee, donors, helpers, and the Futures community!
Fall Blood Drive: 40 attempted; 24 pints collected
Spring Blood Drive (May 10): 37 attempted; 27 collected
